Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.23% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:16AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

SOBHA(up 4.13 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.96 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.0 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.86 per cent) and DLF(up 1.66 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 0.23 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.15 per cent) and Sunteck Realty(down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.23 per cent at 433.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 35.7 points at 18226.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 138.79 points at 61272.67.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, IOB, PNB and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Avro India, Tainwala Chem, Baheti Recycling Industries Ltd., Pritika Engineering Components Ltd. and Gujarat Pipavav hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Elin Electronics Ltd., Sintex Inds., Zim Laboratories, Godha Cabcon & Insul and Goenka Diamond hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
