Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.62% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:04AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

TIINDIA(up 1.86 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.25 per cent), Bosch(up 1.24 per cent), Ashok Leyland(up 1.03 per cent) and TVS Motor Company(up 0.94 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Balkrishna Industries(down 0.83 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 0.62 per cent at 12988.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 23.8 points at 18633.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 53.47 points at 62624.15.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Central Bank, IOB and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Crown Lifters, YES Bank, Cubex Tubings, Adroit Infotech and Vaishali Pharma hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Baheti Recycling Industries Ltd., DJ Mediaprint & Logi, Bedmutha Ind, Future Consumer and Vaxtex Cotfab hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
