ReutersNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Rajdarshan Ind(up 19.96%), BGR Energy(up 19.94%), Cospower Engg (up 15.37%) and Promax Power Ltd.(up 15.2%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 147.63 points up at 62278.2, while the 50-share index, NSE was 30.85 points up at 18528.0.
In the Nifty50 index, 26 stocks traded in the green, while 22 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Promax Power Ltd., Dhanlaxmi Bank, Jyoti Ltd, Punjab Sind Bank and Kokuyo Camlin hit their fresh 52-week high, while Cerebra Integrat, Sintex Inds., Laurus Labs, Future Consumer and Srestha Finvest touched their new 52-week low during the session.
