Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Kenvi Jewels(19.94%), Shree Ganesh Bio-Tec(19.92%), RMC Switchgears(19.91%), Cerebra Integrat(17.4%), Archidply Ind(17.22%), Sandur Manganese(16.59%), Archit Organo(16.31%) and Reliance Infra(15.06%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 497.73 points down at 55268.49, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 147.15 points down at 16483.85.

In the Nifty50 index, 13 stocks closed in the green, while 37 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as Kenvi Jewels, Archidply Ind, eMudhra Ltd., Alfavision Over and Kirloskar Elec hit their fresh 52-week high, while Tanla Solutions, Zomato Ltd., Gayatri Project, Sterlite Tech and Policy Bazaar touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
