Recently, in April, assets worth Rs 7.27 crore belonging to the 'Aladdin' actress were attached by the ED.
Jacqueline Fernandez on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court and sought permission to travel to the United Arab Emirates for a fortnight. The actress, who has been under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with money-laundering in the Sukesh Chandrasekhar case, filed a plea seeking permission to travel abroad for work commitments.

The actress has moved an application in the Delhi court seeking a 15-day exemption to travel to Abu Dhabi for the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) ceremony. After IIFA, the 36-year-old actress is expected to travel to France and Nepal for her work commitments.

Fernandez, a Sri Lankan national, has an active Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her in connection with a Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Chandrasekhar who has been cooling his heels in Delhi's Tihar jail. This LOC also led to a brief detention at the Mumbai International Airport last year.

Recently, in April, assets worth Rs 7.27 crore belonging to the 'Aladdin' actress were attached by the ED.

Chandrasekhar, who last year admitted to having gifted expensive items to Fernandez and another actress Nora Fatehi, is being investigated by the ED for his role in an alleged Rs 200 crore money-laundering case. He had also named other Bollywood celebs like Shraddha Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty and Harman Baweja in his disclosure statement to the ED.

Fernandez was recently snapped at Salman Khan's Eid party. On the work front, she was last seen in John Abraham's 'Attack'. She will soon be seen with Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty's 'Cirkus', and alongside Akshay Kumar in Abhishek Sharma's 'Ram Setu'.

The actress tweeted a poster of 'Cirkus' on Tuesday.
