Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 41.12 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 21.53 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 4.57 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 4.07 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 3.37 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 2.66 crore), Karda Const(numbers of share traded: 2.59 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 2.24 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 2.02 crore) and Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 1.85 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 157.95 points up at 16641.8, while BSE Sensex ended up 547.83 points at 55816.32.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.65 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
