Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.82% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Phoenix Mills(up 2.74 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.0 per cent), DLF(up 0.95 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.72 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.59 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 1.44 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.82 per cent at 449.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 61.7 points at 18669.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 213.45 points at 62746.75.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, IOB and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Palash Securities, B&B Triplewall Conta, Sirca Paints, Dynamic Cables and GIC Housing Fin hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Cerebra Integrat, Sintex Inds., Supreme Engineering, JFL Life Sciences Ltd. and Shree Pushkar Chem hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
