    Crafting a recipe for change: C Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers celebrates shuttler Prarthana Anand & entrepreneur Sowmya Keshava

    It celebrates two Bengaluru women achievers who forged their own path.

    Prarthana Anand is wearing delicate yet bold earrings and layered chains, and Sowmya Keshava is wearing rare pearls and diamond jewellery.
    For over 150 years, Bengaluru’s C Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers has had the privilege of adding to the beauty of women from all walks of life. When their customers achieve success, it is a celebration for the sesquicentennial jeweller as well.
    Here are two women whose journeys are as distinctive as the jewellery they wear:

    Sowmya Keshava
    An entrepreneur committed to using her learnings to create opportunities that make a positive difference in the world, Sowmya Keshava founded boutique consultancy firm, Nilah Advisors.

    As founder and CEO, she developed innovative tech ideas to help South-East Asian companies enter and expand their business in India. The firm is currently exploring opportunities to work with the government and policymakers to encourage entrepreneurship in Tier II and Tier III cities.

    Keshava is passionate about mentoring and guiding women-led tech start-ups and works closely with the government to deliver innovative and creative online education platforms.

    Prarthana Anand
    An avid badminton player, trekker, freelance model, language enthusiast and social worker, Prarthana Anand is a dynamic personality. To get more youth involved in eldercare, she founded an institution called Youth for Dementia and has organised numerous walkathons.

    She is currently pursuing her bachelor in engineering in computer science and hopes to pursue her master’s at Stanford or Columbia University next year.

    Anand has taught 11th and 12th-grade physics and chemistry at Dream School Foundation for underprivileged children. She has also impacted lives as the chief speaker at Global Youth India International Youth Day and the U25 summit.
