Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 27.52 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 16.96 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 13.33 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 8.10 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 6.06 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.69 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.66 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 5.62 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.59 crore) and Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 4.28 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 74.4 points down at 17656.35, while BSE Sensex ended down 287.7 points at 59543.96.

On the other hand, Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.84 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.63 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 2.60 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.33 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
