Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.13% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.59 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.31 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 0.63 per cent) were among the top gainers.

DLF(down 1.28 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 1.09 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.48 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.22 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.13 per cent at 450.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 105.8 points at 17264.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 318.55 points at 57888.8.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, Tata Steel, Zomato Ltd. and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of West Coast Paper, Ram Ratna Wire, Metro Brands Ltd., Andhra Paper and TN Newsprint hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SKP Bearing Industries Ltd., ARSS Infra, Bombay Rayon, Birla Tyres and Jindal Cotex hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
