Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Adani Ent.(Rs. 1193.51 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 885.35 crore), Ambuja Cements(Rs. 613.45 crore), Adani Green(Rs. 610.82 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 570.08 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 525.13 crore), RIL(Rs. 495.01 crore), HDFC(Rs. 405.00 crore), Adani Transmission(Rs. 333.44 crore) and SBI(Rs. 319.07 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 63.2 points down at 17585.75, while BSE Sensex was down 263.65 points at 59236.76 as of 10:40AM(IST)on January 31.

In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 4.98 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.58 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.54 per cent), State Bank of India(up 2.31 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.45 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 2.53 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.01 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent) were among the top losers.
