NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 214.17 points up at 58350.53 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Chordia Food(down 31.11 per cent), Inditrade Capital (down 17.57 per cent), CMI FPE(down 13.39 per cent), Neuland Labs(down 12.50 per cent) and NCL Research(down 10.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 42.7 points up at 17388.15.
On the BSE, B-Right Realestate Ltd., Superior Finlease, Oceanic Foods, Birla Tyres and ISF Ltd hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Navneet Education, Tamboli Capital, Veerkrupa Jewellers Ltd., Vadilal Ind and Elgi Equipments touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
