Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 2.68% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

DLF(down 4.07 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 4.04 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 3.55 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 2.58 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 2.38 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 2.68 per cent at 389.7 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 404.25 points at 15797.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 1406.51 points at 52896.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 1 were trading in the green, while 49 were in the red.

Shares of RBL Bank, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Sonu Infratech Ltd., Marathon Nextgen, Tree House Edu, KPI Global Infra and Peria Karamalai Tea hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while RBL Bank, Asian Granito, Indiabulls Intgrtd, Rollatainers Ltd and Indostar Cap. Fin. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
