Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:27AM

Sikko Industries(up 2.78%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.79%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 1.68%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.88%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 0.67%) were among the top gainers.

Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.02%), Bohra Industries(down 2.00%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.87%), Aries Agro(down 1.86%), G S F C(down 1.56%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.10%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.98%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.96%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.67%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.57%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 3.8 points down at 18262.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 22.9 points at 61738.43 at around 11:27AM.

IndusInd Bank(up 1.73%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.59%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.36%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.19%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.07%), Britannia Industries(up 0.89%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.87%), SBI Life(up 0.66%), Nestle India(up 0.61%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 1.69%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.25%), State Bank of India(down 0.99%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.75%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.65%), Eicher Motors(down 0.61%), Coal India(down 0.57%), Tata Steel(down 0.55%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.55%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.46%) were trading in the red.
