Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 5.07 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 3.39 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.34 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.32 crore), FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)(number of shares traded: 3.01 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 2.98 crore), Bank of India(number of shares traded: 2.90 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.95 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 1.67 crore) and Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 1.52 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 97.35 points up at 18150.65, while BSE Sensex was up 370.32 points at 61026.04 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.60 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.97 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.62 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.05 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
