Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Kotak Bank(Rs. 1090.23 crore), Triveni Engg(Rs. 359.67 crore), RIL(Rs. 334.43 crore), Bank of Baroda(Rs. 301.28 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 301.21 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 298.78 crore), L&T(Rs. 256.52 crore), PNB(Rs. 229.58 crore), HDFC(Rs. 229.30 crore) and Bajaj Finance(Rs. 204.61 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 41.3 points up at 18601.8, while BSE Sensex was up 140.32 points at 62551.0 as of 10:14AM(IST)on December 08.

In the Nifty index, Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.60 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 3.28 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent) were among the top losers.
