Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Swasti Vinayaka(up 19.77%), Maha Corp Ltd(PP)(up 18.18%), Tarmat Ltd(up 16.79%) and Bhandari Hosiery(up 16.01%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 30.23 points up at 62712.07, while the 50-share index, NSE was 15.05 points up at 18633.1.
In the Nifty50 index, 29 stocks traded in the green, while 21 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as HUDCO, Kaycee Ind, Manomay Tex India, MPS Ltd and Raj Packaging hit their fresh 52-week high, while Dhruv Wellness, Welcure Drugs, Fundviser Cap, Pace E-Commerce Ventures Ltd. and Nureca Ltd. touched their new 52-week low during the session.
