Sensex falls! But these stocks rallied over 15% on BSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, MRO-TEK Realty (20.0%), Ramco Systems(19.99%), Premier Capital Services Ltd.(19.92%), Country Club Hospit(19.91%), Vaswani Ind(19.88%), Omni Axs Software (16.72%), TTK Healthcare(15.29%), Starcom Info(15.11%) and Gennex Labs(15.05%).

The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 152.18 points down at 52541.39, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 39.95 points down at 15692.15.

In the Nifty50 index, 24 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.

Meanwhile, stocks such as KPI Global Infra, Alkosign Ltd., Mirza Intnl, Choice Intnl and Gensol Engg hit their fresh 52-week high, while Sadbhav Eng, Tierra Agrotech Ltd., LKP Finance, Wardwizard Innov(PP)and Chandni Text touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
