Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 7.07 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.19 crore), FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)(number of shares traded: 1.80 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.57 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 1.51 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.36 crore), IOB(number of shares traded: 1.31 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.25 crore), NALCO(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore) and Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.00 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 8.8 points down at 17886.9, while BSE Sensex was down 37.88 points at 60067.62 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.68 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.24 per cent) and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 0.89 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.50 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.91 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.68 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
