Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Grasim Inds.(Rs. 81.02 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 80.76 crore), RBL Bank(Rs. 57.69 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 48.23 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 44.80 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 40.81 crore), RIL(Rs. 39.24 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 36.10 crore), SBI(Rs. 35.72 crore) and PNB(Rs. 35.26 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 187.05 points down at 17914.15, while BSE Sensex fell 631.83 points to 60115.48.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 6.02 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 5.41 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 3.24 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.48 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 2.07 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
