Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 5.28 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 3.62 crore), Vikas Multicorp(numbers of share traded: 1.72 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 1.51 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.27 crore), Atreya Petro(numbers of share traded: 1.04 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.75 crore), RattanIndia Power (numbers of share traded: 0.72 crore) and BCL Enterprises(numbers of share traded: 0.64 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 331.55 points down at 15360.6, while BSE Sensex ended down 1045.6 points at 51495.79.

On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 6.03 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 5.99 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 5.34 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 5.18 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 5.11 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
