Share market update: PSU bank shares dip; Bank of Baroda down 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading lower in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 1.46 per cent) , Indian Overseas Bank (down 1.4 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 1.08 per cent) , Punjab & Sind Bank (down 1.07 per cent) , UCO Bank (down 1.06 per cent) , Canara Bank (down 0.86 per cent) , Central Bank of India (down 0.57 per cent) , Union Bank of India (down 0.31 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.54 per cent down at 1474.85 around 02:16PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 14.60 points at 10778.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 99.92 points at 36587.2.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Motors, NBCC , SAIL, SBI, RBL Bank Ltd., Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank and M&M Financial were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
