Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:34AM

Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 2.31%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 1.99%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.11%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.73%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 0.69%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.64%), KIOCL(up 0.64%), 20 Microns(up 0.37%), MOIL(up 0.34%) and Coal India(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers.

Pokarna(down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 155.65 points up at 17690.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 586.08 points at 59403.37 at around 10:34AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 2.71%), Axis Bank(up 2.54%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.03%), Eicher Motors(up 2.01%), ICICI Bank(up 1.88%), Wipro(up 1.85%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.76%), Asian Paints(up 1.56%), HDFC(up 1.55%) and Bajaj Finance(up 1.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.66%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.53%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.43%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.31%), SBI Life(down 0.28%), NTPC(down 0.26%), ITC(down 0.22%), Grasim Industries(down 0.18%), Nestle India(down 0.1%) and Hindalco Industries(down 0.08%) were trading in the red.
