NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Wherrelz IT Solutions Ltd.(up 19.21%) and Uttam Sugar Mil(up 17.11%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 405.71 points up at 53379.55, while the 50-share index, NSE was 130.4 points up at 15972.7.
In the Nifty50 index, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Gorani Ind, Megastar Foods, Mehta Housing, Delta Industrial Res and Dhanlaxmi Fab hit their fresh 52-week high, while Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India, Global Longlife Hospital and Research Ltd., Vaksons Automobiles and Future Enterprises (DVR)touched their new 52-week low during the session.
