Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 11:11AM

Sikko Industries(up 0.68%), KRISHANA(up 0.44%), Rama Phosphates(up 0.21%) and Bohra Industries(up 0.04%) were among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 3.06%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 3.04%), National Fertilizer(down 2.89%), Madras Fertlizers(down 2.89%), Agro Phos(down 2.22%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.19%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 2.04%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.89%), Coromandel International(down 1.87%) and Aries Agro(down 1.75%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 184.95 points down at 17933.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 586.71 points at 60392.04 at around 11:11AM.

Maruti Suzuki(up 0.96%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.67%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.58%), Tata Steel(up 0.42%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.29%) and JSW Steel(up 0.02%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 5.49%), State Bank of India(down 3.21%), Adani Enterprises(down 2.64%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.96%), HDFC Bank(down 1.8%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.76%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.71%), Axis Bank(down 1.63%), HDFC(down 1.56%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.49%) were trading in the red.
