    Stocks in the news: Adani Enterprises, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, PNB and NMDC

    Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 41 points, or 0.26 per cent lower at 15,870, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Tuesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today's trade:

    Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, Dabur India: Bharti Airtel, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone, Dabur India, Tata Consumer Products, Godrej Consumer Products, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of India, Alkyl Amines Chemicals, Kajaria Ceramics and IIFL Wealth Management are among the companies that will announce quarterly earnings today.

    HDFC: The mortgage lender reported a marginal decline in standalone net profit at Rs 3,001 crore in the quarter ended June 2021. It had reported a standalone profit after tax stood of Rs 3,051.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

    Adani Enterprises: Business conglomerate Adani Group's edible oil firm Adani Wilmarfiled draft papers with markets regulator Sebi to launch its initial public offer (IPO) to raise up to Rs 4,500 crore for funding its expansion. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises.

    Punjab National Bank:
    The state-owned lender reported over three-fold jump in its standalone net profit to Rs 1,023.46 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, mainly due to fall in operating expenses and good recovery. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 308.45 crore in the same quarter last year.

    NMDC: The state-owned miner said its iron ore production rose by 3.6 per cent to 11.96 million tonne (MT) during the April-July period of the ongoing financial year. The company had produced 8.80 MT of iron ore during the corresponding period of 2020-21.

    Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers: The chemical company reported a more than two-fold jump in net profit for the quarter ending June at Rs 24.32 crore compared to the same period of the previous financial year. The company's net profit for the corresponding quarter of 2020-21, stood at Rs 11.01 crore.

    SJVN: The state-owned power company said its 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydro power station and 412 MW Rampur plant have clocked their highest ever monthly power generation in July 2021.

    RBL Bank: The small-sized private sector lender reported a loss of Rs 459.47 crore for the June quarter as against a profit of Rs 141 crore in the year-ago period as the money set aside for future loan setbacks shot up by nearly three-times.

    Ajmera Realty Infra: The real estate firm reported five-fold jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 10.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. Its net profit stood at Rs 2.10 crore in the year-ago period.

    Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals: The refinery firm denied reports in a section of the media that oil belonging to the company is being stolen from its pipeline.

    CG Power and Industrial Solutions:
    The power generator posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 48 crore for June quarter 2021-22 mainly on the back of higher revenues. The company had reported a net loss of Rs 262.88 crore for the year-ago period.

    VA Tech WABAG: The water treatment player has bagged an engineering and procurement order worth USD 165 million (about Rs 1,230 crore) from Russia-based Amur Gas Chemical Complex LLC, the company said.

    Emami Realty: The real estate player said it will invest Rs 130 crore to develop a commercial project in Kolkata over the next four years. The company will develop 2.64 lakh sq ft of office and retail area in its new project 'Emami Business Bay' at Salt Lake City in Kolkata.

    Man Industries: The construction company said it has received new orders worth Rs 200 crore from oil and gas, and water sectors. With these new contracts, the company's order book stands at Rs 1,500 crore.
