Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.28% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

TIINDIA(up 3.06 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 1.47 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 1.35 per cent), Eicher Motors(up 1.01 per cent) and Bosch(up 0.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Bharat Forge(down 1.02 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 0.86 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 0.3 per cent), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.24 per cent) and MRF(down 0.1 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 0.28 per cent at 12955.8 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 45.6 points at 17433.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 175.16 points at 58525.69.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Tata Steel and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Fineotex Chem, Seshasayee Paper, ICE Make Refr, International Constructions Ltd. and Party Cruisers Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Birla Tyres, Melstar Info, Karda Const, Future Retail and Future Consumer hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
