ReutersNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 49.49 points up at 59549.9 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Naapbooks Ltd.(down 17.14 per cent), Amba Enterprises(down 13.57 per cent), Quint Digital Media(down 12.28 per cent), Cargotrans Maritime Ltd.(down 11.12 per cent) and Roni Households(down 10.64 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 26 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 13.2 points up at 17662.15.
On the BSE, Quint Digital Media, Roni Households, Meera Industries, Heranba Industries Ltd. and Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Manaksia Ltd, Shilchar Tech, Automotive Axle, Virtuoso Optoelectronics Ltd. and Money Masters touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
