Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.23% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:50AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Sona BLW Precision Forgings(up 3.25 per cent), Bosch(up 1.5 per cent), Tata Motors(up 1.04 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.73 per cent) and Bharat Forge(up 0.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.

TIINDIA(down 2.27 per cent), TVS Motor Company(down 0.52 per cent), MRF(down 0.38 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 0.3 per cent) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was up 0.23 per cent at 13286.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 115.4 points at 18051.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 382.7 points at 60497.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 40 were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, PNB, Vodafone Idea and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of DB Corp., Fineotex Chem, Tata Investment, Ram Ratna Wire and Salasar Exteriors hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while JFL Life Sciences Ltd., Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., S & S Power Switch, Debock Sales & Mktg and Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
