Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.04% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:06AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

Brigade Enterprises(up 2.12 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.9 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 1.74 per cent), SOBHA(up 1.61 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 1.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sunteck Realty(down 4.18 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.04 per cent at 415.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 162.95 points at 17825.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 611.96 points at 60161.86.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 43 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Brightcom Group were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Manaksia Ltd, Apar Industries, GNA Axles, The Anup Engg and Mahindra CIE hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd., Godha Cabcon & Insul, Sintex Inds., Kamdhenu Ventures Ltd. and 8K Miles Soft hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
