Stock market update: SmallCap stocks fall; Astrazeneca Pharma plunges 8%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading lower at 03:02PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Bharat Dynamics (down 13.89 per cent), Astrazeneca Pharma India (down 8.2 per cent), Parag Milk (down 7.61 per cent), Gravita India (down 6.47 per cent) and PVR (down 6.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Vipul (up 9.39 per cent), Century Enka (up 8.43 per cent), Dixon Tech (up 7.69 per cent) and Indo Count Industries (up 7.49 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.67 per cent down at 14475.86 around 03:02PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 26.55 points at 11328.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 19.62 points at 38436.85.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, Tata Motors and Tata Motors (DVR) were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Amber Enterprises India Ltd., HCL Tech and Tata Elxsi hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mauria Udyog Ltd., Darjeeling Ropeway Company Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Innovative Ideals and Services (India) Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Leading Leasing Finance and Investment Company Ltd., Libord Finance Ltd., Shivansh Finserve Ltd., Shri Niwas Leasing and Finance Ltd. and Williamson Financial Services Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
