Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty gained 21.1 points to 16079.4, while the BSE Sensex traded 53.73 points up at 53940.34.
On the other hand, GRP Ltd, Hubtown Ltd, Spacenet Enterprise, Adroit Infotech and Jagsonpal Pharm stocks hit their fresh 52-week highs today.
In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, Asian Paints, Kotak Bank, L&T and BPCL were among the top gainers on the NSE.
IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, HDFC Bank and Titan Company were among the top losers.
