Stock market update: SmallCap stocks down; Just Dial sheds 7%

NEW DELHI: SmallCap stocks were trading lower at 02:24PM (IST) on Monday.

Shares of Just Dial (down 7.27 per cent), MEP (down 7.16 per cent), Welspun Corp (down 6.88 per cent), Reliance Power (down 5.97 per cent) and Kaveri Seed Company (down 5.71 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Thangamayil Jewellery (up 12.59 per cent), PNB Gilts (up 7.45 per cent), Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri (up 5.95 per cent), JTEKT India (up 5.81 per cent) and Centrum Capital (up 5.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 0.59 per cent down at 14800.92 around 02:24PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 49.10 points at 11691.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 226.36 points at 39840.43.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Fortis Health, Bank of Baroda and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Route Mobile Ltd., Havells India, Tanla Solutions, PI Industries and Capri Global hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while 7NR Retail Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., A & M Febcon Ltd., Mehai Technology Ltd., Saffron Industries Ltd., Colorchips New Media Ltd., Virgo Global Ltd., Ishaan Infrastructures & Shelters Ltd., Mukta Agriculture Ltd. and Goblin India Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
