Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:45AM

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.69%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 3.18%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.48%), Aries Agro(up 2.30%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.64%), Sikko Industries(up 1.46%), Rama Phosphates(up 0.97%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.72%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.61%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.60%) were among the top gainers.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.92%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.80%), Coromandel International(down 0.16%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.14%), G S F C(down 0.07%), National Fertilizer(down 0.07%) and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.03%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 67.9 points up at 18121.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 258.76 points at 60914.48 at around 10:45AM.

Tata Steel(up 2.14%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.98%), HDFC Bank(up 1.56%), Wipro(up 1.4%), HDFC(up 1.36%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.18%), SBI Life(up 1.1%), HCL Technologies(up 1.08%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.07%) and Grasim Industries(up 1.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 2.65%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.41%), Tata Motors(down 1.34%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.7%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.54%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.5%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.49%), State Bank of India(down 0.44%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.43%) and Cipla(down 0.38%) were trading in the red.
