Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.76% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:34AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 7.59 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.35 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 2.25 per cent), DLF(up 1.99 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.83 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 0.29 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.76 per cent at 408.1 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 60.0 points at 16326.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 294.2 points at 54620.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, YES Bank, BHEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Akshar Spintex, Apcotex Ind, Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Shanthi Gears and Adani Power hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SAIL, NMDC and Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
