Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:29AM

DCM Shriram Industries(up 7.69%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 4.18%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)(up 3.49%), Simbhaoli Sugars(up 3.31%), Sakthi Sugars(up 2.91%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 2.53%), Mawana Sugars(up 2.15%), Rana Sugars(up 1.58%), AVADHSUGAR(up 1.56%) and K.M.Sugar Mills(up 1.52%) were among the top gainers.

Shree Renuka Sugars(down 1.07%) and Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 0.30%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 227.75 points up at 18087.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 771.98 points at 60672.35 at around 10:29AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 3.1%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.89%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 2.81%), HCL Technologies(up 2.46%), Tata Motors(up 2.29%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.24%), Wipro(up 2.2%), Infosys(up 2.15%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.97%) and Hindalco Industries(up 1.95%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 1.74%) were trading in the red.
