Sensex tanks! Stocks that fell 5% or more

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 865.67 points down at 39929.07 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters

Alankit (down 19.94 per cent) , Alpine Housing (down 11.15 per cent) , Anjani Synthetics (down 10.00 per cent) , Rai Saheb Rekhchand Mohota Spinning (down 9.93 per cent) , Fraser & Company (down 9.68 per cent) , Tranway Technologies (down 9.65 per cent) , Dynacons Systems (down 9.36 per cent) , HIM Teknoforge (down 8.88 per cent) , Joindre Capital (down 8.65 per cent) and Polymech (down 8.53 per cent) were among the top losers.

In the Nifty pack, 10 stocks were in the green, while 40 stocks were in the red. The Nifty index was trading 236.35 points down at 11,734.7.

On the NSE, WABCO India and Coal India Ltd hit their fresh 52-week low while Oracle Fin, SBI Cards , Hero MotoCorp, Tata Elxsi, Asian Paints, JK Cement, Lakshmi Machine, Berger Paints, Ambuja Cements and Infosys touched their fresh 52-week high today.
