Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.36% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 09:59AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

SOBHA(up 1.92 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.8 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.72 per cent) and DLF(up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Sunteck Realty(down 2.65 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 2.2 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.61 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(down 0.46 per cent) and Oberoi Realty(down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.36 per cent at 405.55 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 82.55 points at 17566.4, while the BSE Sensex was down 286.45 points at 59213.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, PNB, Vodafone Idea, Zomato Ltd. and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Vinny Overseas, Bombay Super Hybrid, Servotech Power Syst, Vera Synthetic and Latteys Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Uma Converter Ltd., Heranba Industries Ltd., Adani Green, Paras Petrofils and Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
