    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

    NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel(Rs. 834.93 crore), RIL(Rs. 456.08 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 434.69 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 386.48 crore), TCS(Rs. 366.09 crore), Infosys(Rs. 339.05 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 320.74 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 315.25 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 245.30 crore) and Tata Steel(Rs. 240.31 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:50AM in Wednesday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index traded 25.65 points up at 17939.8, while BSE Sensex was up 122.72 points at 60238.2 as of 10:50AM(IST)on January 11.

    In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.57 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 3.32 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.58 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) were among the top losers.
