Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 234.0 points up at 61963.68 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Shree Precoated(down 19.96 per cent), Superior Finlease(down 19.57 per cent), Gland Pharma(down 16.56 per cent), Sangam Renewables(down 15.60 per cent) and SDC Techmedia(down 15.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 34 stocks closed in the green, while 16 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 111.0 points up at 18314.4.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease, Gland Pharma, Chandni Machines, Cineline India and Balaji Amines hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sheetal Diamond, Kokuyo Camlin, Nilkamal Ltd, VRL Logistics and Kaynes Technology In touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
