Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:29AM

Future Consumer(up 2.33%), ADF Foods(up 1.86%), Nestle India(up 1.85%), Nakoda Group(up 1.20%), Britannia Industries(up 1.05%), Zydus Wellness(up 0.84%), Dangee Dums(up 0.63%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.54%), DFM Foods(up 0.50%) and Colgate Palmolive(India)(up 0.32%) were among the top gainers.

JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.54%), Parag Milk(down 2.25%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.15%), Bajaj Consumer(down 2.07%), Vadilal Industries(down 1.85%), Hind.Foods(down 1.65%), Umang Dairies(down 1.34%), Prataap Snacks(down 1.25%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.09%) and Heritage Foods(down 1.00%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 8.55 points up at 16133.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 22.67 points at 54075.28 at around 10:29AM.

SBI Life(up 3.31%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.69%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.09%), Nestle India(up 1.85%), Grasim Industries(up 1.65%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.52%), ICICI Bank(up 1.17%), Britannia Industries(up 1.05%), HDFC(up 1.03%) and Hero MotoCorp(up 1.0%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.7%), Tech Mahindra(down 3.49%), Asian Paints(down 3.09%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.74%), Wipro(down 2.28%), HCL Technologies(down 1.92%), UPL Ltd(down 1.58%), Infosys(down 1.38%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.03%) and Eicher Motors(down 0.89%) were trading in the red.
