Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:29AM

Madras Fertlizers(up 7.27%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 6.86%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.82%), National Fertilizer(up 3.61%), Aries Agro(up 2.93%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.12%), KRISHANA(up 1.59%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.00%), Coromandel International(up 0.94%) and Rama Phosphates(up 0.65%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 9.94%), Bohra Industries(down 4.00%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 3.25%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.30%), G S F C(down 1.29%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 1.20%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.96%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.62%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.15%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 196.7 points down at 18223.75, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 644.55 points at 61161.64 at around 10:29AM.

Adani Enterprises(up 0.26%), Axis Bank(up 0.22%) and UltraTech Cement(up 0.03%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.86%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.08%), SBI Life(down 1.97%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.85%), Eicher Motors(down 1.83%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.82%), Tata Steel(down 1.79%), NTPC(down 1.75%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.73%) and UPL Ltd(down 1.7%) were trading in the red.
