Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading lower on Monday at 10:09AM

Aries Agro(up 5.26%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 3.55%), KRISHANA(up 1.78%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.72%), ZUARIAGRO(up 0.40%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.32%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.27%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.20%) and Sikko Industries(up 0.20%) were among the top gainers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.82%), Bohra Industries(down 4.81%), National Fertilizer(down 2.85%), Madras Fertlizers(down 2.26%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.82%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.84%), Agro Phos(down 0.78%), Coromandel International(down 0.34%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.34%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.32%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 56.0 points up at 18161.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 207.66 points at 61048.4 at around 10:09AM.

Tata Steel(up 3.42%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.03%), Tata Motors(up 1.61%), ICICI Bank(up 1.48%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.26%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 0.76%), Axis Bank(up 0.75%), State Bank of India(up 0.7%), Coal India(up 0.69%) and Bharti Airtel(up 0.6%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Auto(down 1.88%), Asian Paints(down 1.84%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.98%), Bajaj Finance(down 0.95%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.94%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.83%), Cipla(down 0.72%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.64%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.63%) and Hero MotoCorp(down 0.51%) were trading in the red.
