    New Delhi: Porinju Veliyath, the founder of Equity Intelligence India, was busy rejigging his portfolio during the December 2021 quarter as he potentially existed as many as four companies while he bought fresh stakes in three others.

    According to the latest shareholding pattern, the name of Equity Intelligence India was missing from the key shareholders' list of four companies, namely Agro Tech Foods, Eastern Treads, Danlaw Technologies India and IRIS Business Services.

    As of September 30, 2021, his fund held 2,58,000 equity shares or a 1.06 per cent stake in Agro Tech Foods, whereas it owned 1,00,000 equity shares or a 1.9 per cent stake in rubber products maker Eastern Treads.

    Veliyath also held 42,500 equity shares or 1.15 per cent in the microcap IT player Danlaw Technologies, while he owned 2,00,000 equity shares or 1.04 per cent shares in another IT player IRIS Business Services.

    Companies are obligated to release the names of key shareholders on a quarterly basis who own at least one per cent stake in the company as per the rules of market regulator Sebi.

    Veliyath bought 3,00,000 shares (1.05 per cent stake) in Aurum Proptech and 2,68,000 shares (1.07 per cent stake) in Taneja Aerospace & Aviations along with 1,50,000 shares (2.03 per cent stake) in Ansal Buildwell during Q3FY22.

    The Kerala-based investors increased his holding in microcap Kerala Ayurveda as he held 2,50,000 shares or 2.37 per cent stake in the company as of December 31, 2021.

    This was 104 basis points higher than the 1.33 per cent stake he held in the company in the September quarter. Veliyath had entered Kerala Ayurveda in the September quarter only, buying 1,40,000 shares.

    The manager of Equity Intelligence PMS marginally increased his stake in McDowell Holdings and Orient Bells during the December 2021 quarter of the ongoing fiscal.

    Veliyath stayed put in as many as nine stocks during the quarter under review as his holding in these companies remained unchanged as per the regulatory filings.

    The list includes Gati, Shalimar Paints, Swelect Energy Systems, Kaya, Duropoly Industries, Cupid, HPL Electric & Power, RPSG Ventures and Somany Home Innovation.

    Porinju publicly holds 18 stocks with a net worth of over Rs 204.2 crore, the data from Trendlyne showed.
