Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.41% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:26AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

SOBHA(down 2.0 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.89 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.74 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.72 per cent) and DLF(down 1.7 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.41 per cent at 430.5 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 129.8 points at 18102.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 432.92 points at 60861.28.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of SecUR Credentials, BLB Ltd., Radiant Cash Management Services Ltd., Pritika Engineering Components Ltd. and Jindal Worldwide hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Arihant Academy Ltd., Moxsh Overseas Educon Ltd., SKS Textiles, Indiabulls Enterprises Ltd. and Sumeet Ind hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
