Stock market update: Nifty Private Bank index flat; City Union Bank jumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Private Bank index was trading flat at 12:13PM (IST) on Friday.

Shares of City Union Bank (up 4.84 per cent), Bandhan Bank (up 1.07 per cent), RBL Bank (up 0.95 per cent), Federal Bank (up 0.46 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Axis Bank (down 0.86 per cent), IDFC Bank (down 0.8 per cent) and HDFC Bank (down 0.15 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 12097.25 around 12:13PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 41.05 points at 11341.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 138.44 points at 38448.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Ashok Leyland, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Lupin, APL Apollo Tube, Birlasoft, KIOCL Ltd. and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Mittal Life Style Ltd., Keerti Knowledge and Skills Ltd. and Uniinfo Telecom Services Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
