Stock market update: BSE Capital Goods index flat; Graphite India surges 10%

NEW DELHI: S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading flat at 01:49PM (IST) on Tuesday.

Shares of Graphite India (up 9.99 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (up 3.75 per cent), Schaeffler India (up 2.49 per cent), Adani Green (up 2.47 per cent) and Havells India (up 1.71 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 2.81 per cent), Hindustan Aeronautics (down 2.46 per cent), Grindwel Norton (down 2.15 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 1.92 per cent) and GMR Infrastructure (down 1.78 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.03 per cent up at 14278.82 around 01:49PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.30 points at 11481.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 82.31 points at 38881.39.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Phoenix Mills, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Alok Industries and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Max Financial Services, Adani Enterpr., Affle (India) Ltd., Timken India and IOL Chemicals hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Shree Nidhi Trading Co. Ltd., Panth Infinity Ltd., Svaraj Trading & Agencies Ltd., Darshan Orna Ltd., Unistar Multimedia Ltd., SC Agrotech Ltd., Sagar Diamonds Ltd., N2N Technologies Ltd., Modulex Construction Technologies Ltd. and Ajwa Fun World & Resorts Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
