Stock market update: Nifty Realty index slips 1%; DLF falls over 2%

NEW DELHI: Nifty Realty index was trading lower at 12:31PM (IST) on Wednesday.

Shares of DLF (down 2.45 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.77 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.58 per cent), Godrej Properties (down 1.38 per cent) and Omaxe (down 0.35 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Indiabulls Real Estate (up 2.59 per cent), Phoenix Mills (up 0.77 per cent), Sunteck Realty (up 0.57 per cent) and Sobha (up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.09 per cent down at 222.05 around 12:31PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 23.20 points at 11447.05, while the BSE Sensex was down 97.82 points at 38802.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Central Depository Services (India) Ltd., Adani Green Energy Ltd., IndiaMART InterMESH Ltd., Hathway Cable and Godrej Ind hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Libas Designs Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
