Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.73% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:06AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

SOBHA(up 1.18 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.81 per cent), Sunteck Realty(up 0.57 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.4 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Macrotech Developers(down 1.71 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 1.52 per cent), DLF(down 1.1 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 0.92 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.3 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 0.73 per cent at 424.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 105.95 points at 18016.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 349.73 points at 60560.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 5 were trading in the green, while 45 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, IOB, PNB, Suzlon Energy and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of HEC Infra Projects, NACL Industries, Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Swastik Pipe Ltd. and Ponni Sugars hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sintex Inds., Godha Cabcon & Insul, Goenka Diamond, Paras Petrofils and Abans Holdings Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
