Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.71%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a positive note on Monday.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.92 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.53 per cent), DLF(up 1.32 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 1.11 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(up 0.89 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Brigade Enterprises(down 2.87 per cent), Macrotech Developers(down 0.36 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.21 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.01 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.71 per cent up at 461.95.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 111.0 points at 18314.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 234.0 points at 61963.68.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 ended in the green, while 16 closed in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, PNB, YES Bank and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Arham Technologies, Kokuyo Camlin, Nilkamal Ltd, VRL Logistics and Kaynes Technology In hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Gland Pharma, Sanwaria Consumer, Sheetal Cool, Gammon Infra and Cineline India hit their fresh 52-week lows.
